About the Seneca Park Zoo

Explore one of Greater Rochester’s most popular family attractions. The Seneca Park Zoo is nestled within 15.5 acres along the Genesee River and a stroll along our tree-lined pathways feels like a walk in your favorite park. The newly renovated Penguin Exhibit features a remodeled pool, wider beach and an island that keepers can stand on while feeding the birds. These impressive upgrades round out your experience at Rocky Coasts, which is also home to our polar bears and sea lions. Don’t let the little ones leave before crawling through a tunnel for an up-close-and-personal look at our beautiful cougar. Complete your experience by visiting with New York State’s only Bornean orangutans and white rhinoceroses. And, as always, be sure to say hello to our meerkats, snow leopards and new Mexican wolves.
