Celebrate Labor Day weekend at the Zoo

With the summer ending and preparations underway for the new school year, many families are looking for a last-minute break before the start of the busy fall season. Make sure to head on over to the Zoo to see all our animal residents before all of your little ones head back to the classroom!

The Zoo is open for regular summer hours throughout the entire Labor Day weekend, including Monday. The Zoo’s Front Gate opens at 10 a.m. (9:30 a.m. for our members) and closes at 4 p.m. (all visitors may stay on Zoo grounds until 5 p.m.). This will be the last opportunity to catch all of our Summer Programs, since the daily schedule concludes for the season after Labor Day. Stop in to say goodbye to our popular Stage Show animals and presenters or catch a zoo keeper feeding your favorite animal. (Don’t forget there are encore program presentations on Sunday, September 9 for Grandparents Day!)

If you have been considering a Zoo membership all summer, it’s not too late to become part of our member family. As always, our Admissions staff will be here to assist you in making your entrance into the Zoo fast and efficient. The Zoo is open year-round, with numerous events and activities for the whole family. As an added benefit, those who join (as brand-new members) or rejoin (membership has lapsed for 6 months or more) will receive 13 months for the price of 12! This offer is valid through September 9, 2012. Our members are also able to enter the Zoo at 9:30 a.m. through October and will receive special invitations and incentives for our events, like ZooBoo and Breakfast with Santa.

Plan a visit to your Zoo this Labor Day weekend and enjoy the final days of summer at The Natural Place for Families!
