Hello, Zoo family! When you visit the Zoo, please stop by the Admissions or Member booths and say hello. I joined the Zoo’s family on February 1, 2012 and as the new Visitor Services Manager, have enjoyed meeting and getting to know our enthusiastic winter guests.
As Visitor Services Manager, it is my responsibility to oversee customer service operations at the Zoo’s Front Gate. This includes selling general admission tickets, processing memberships and welcoming every visitor to the Zoo. Our knowledgeable Visitor Services Team also provides maps, vital information regarding new exhibits, animals temporarily on or off exhibit, additions to our Animal Collection, exciting event dates or times and much, much more. Our primary focus is to provide stellar customer service that will enhance your Zoo experience and make each visitor feel like family. We look forward to an exciting and busy summer season!
Membership does indeed have its benefits! Beginning April 1st through October 31st our members may enter the Zoo at 9:30 a.m. That’s 30 minutes before non-members! During this period we will observe summer hours. Gates will open for general admission at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Visitors may stay on grounds until 5 p.m.
Members may also take advantage of our Member Express Check-In benefit. We ask that members have their valid member card and photo I.D. ready to help ensure a speedy check-in. If you’ve lost your card, simply call our Member Office at (585) 336-7212 or e-mail email@example.com and request that staff print new cards for you. They can provide your current member I.D. number, too which is all you need (with photo identification) in order to enter the Zoo quickly until your new member cards arrive. Office staff can also help you join, renew or upgrade a current membership. Please remember to bring your current member card and photo identification each visit. This will help to identify you as “Zoo family” and is your passport to enter free and earlier, avoid long lines and get to your favorite animal or our newest exhibit sooner.
Again, please stop by to say hello and introduce yourself. We want everyone to take advantage of member benefits and get to know members by name. Our Visitor Services Team will acknowledge any questions and encourage everyone to visit frequently. I’m so pleased to be a part of the Zoo’s family of dedicated staff, generous members and regular visitors. I hope to see your family at the Zoo very soon!
