Popular butterfly cut out is back!

As if it migrated back, the Monarch butterfly cut out has returned to the Zoo! Last year our visitors enjoyed popping their head through the hole, imitating this beautiful winged creature and posing for a souvenir snap shot. This fun activity tickled the imagination and created lasting memories of Zoo visits.  Unfortunately, our butterfly cut out was damaged and removed late last year. Recently a generous Zoo member made a donation in memory of friends and designated those funds to replace this special attraction. What a wonderful tribute to the deceased and what a beautiful addition to the Sensory Garden area. And what good fortune to have this popular photo opportunity back here for all to enjoy!

So stop by and take “butterfly” photos the next time you visit the Zoo. I’d also like to remind all our members that memorial and honor gifts are a unique way of remembering a loved one or a special occasion while recognizing the person’s caring spirit.
