Visit the Zoo after Thanksgiving Day!

This is a reminder that the Zoo will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22). Our animals will continue to be cared for. The Zoo will reopen to the public on Friday, Nov. 23. The Front Gate will be open at 10 a.m. and close at 3 p.m.; visitors may stay on grounds till 4 p.m.

This coming weekend is a wonderful time to visit the Zoo. Start your holiday shopping at the ZooShop where there are unique gift items, like the 2013 Zoo Calendar, adorable plush creatures and one-size-fits-all gift certificates! Stop at the Zoo’s Front Gate and give the gift of the Zoo for the holidays. Admission passes make terrific stocking stuffers. Or purchase a membership gift certificate for $10 off and the lucky recipient family can take advantage of member benefits all year long. Their membership will be valid for one full year from the date of activation. However, whichever gift you choose, don’t forget that your purchases support the important education at conservation programs at your Zoo.

I’d like to wish all our member families a happy Thanksgiving Day. Plan to visit The Natural Place for Families when we reopen. Avoid the hustle and bustle of Black Friday or frustrations with weekend parking snarls at local malls by taking a leisurely stroll through your Zoo while shopping for various items at our ZooShop during Small Business Saturday (Nov. 24). As our animals enjoy their daily activities and treats, treat your family to a fun-filled day at the Seneca Park Zoo!
