Zoo rates and hours have changed

As autumn falls into the winter season, so do our rates and hours change at the Zoo.

Starting November 1, we began opening the Front Gate for all visitors at 10 a.m. and closing at 3 p.m. Visitors may stay on Zoo grounds until 4 p.m. The benefit for our members to enter at 9:30 a.m. will resume again in the spring. Zoo admission rates are discounted from November 1 thru March 31. That makes this season a great time for members to treat non-members or holiday guests with a visit to this popular attraction!

Visit the Zoo in the cooler weather and you’ll also avoid the summer crowds. In addition, many Zoo animals are more active as the temperature drops. You’ll find them up and about and exploring their enclosures. Zoo keepers keep them engaged with snacks and enrichment items. A polar bear, snow leopard or snowy owl is a sight to behold when the first snow flies!

Give the gift of the Zoo this holiday!

This is also a reminder that we have holiday gifts available at the Front Gate, too. Staff will be happy to assist you with the purchase of a Zoo membership gift certificate — the gift that provides year round fun for relatives and friends. We are currently offing a $10 off special, so the Household Basic level is only $65, a $75 value. Call the Member Office at (585) 336-7212 or visit www.senecaparkzoo.org for more information about available levels or to make your purchase.

So bundle up family and friends and visit us today. You’ll enjoy the company of all your favorite animals here at the Seneca Park Zoo!
