Looking for something fun to do with your grandchildren? Looking for something fun for your children to do with their grandparents? They can visit the Zoo on Sunday, September 9th for National Grandparents Day!
Let us make their special day an “eventful” one – we are offering both member and non-member benefits during our regular Zoo hours. In addition, we will be offering encore presentations of our Summer Programs Sunday schedule — a great opportunity for those who didn’t find the time this summer to see these exciting demonstrations or want to see their favorite show just once more this season. For our Grandparent, Grandparent Plus, Penguin Circle and Special Friend level members we have designated our Event Tent (located near the Tiger Exhibit) for these members to enjoy extra activities. There will be free giveaways, games, crafts, temporary tattoos and a raffle. We will also be offering a free beverage and a snack!
If you are already a member at any of these levels and would like to attend, please RSVP today by calling (585) 336-7212, e-mail members@senecazoo.org with your name and the number attending or notify staff at the Zoo’s Front Gate on Sunday (Sept. 9). Staff members will check you in and direct you to the exclusive Event Tent area. If you are not a member at these specific levels and would like to enjoy the Grandparents Day member benefits above, you can join, renew or upgrade and staff will make sure your family is included. The activities under the tent are member benefits just for member grandparents and grandchildren. Not only will you be a part of this special member event, you will also be eligible to receive 13 months of membership for the price of 12 months! It’s a way for us to say thank you to these important members.
My own grandparents are very special to me and we love our grandparent-level members here at the Zoo! For all the grandparents who are visiting from out of town or are not interested in being a Zoo member, we will have a special offer for them, too: a discounted admission rate of one free grandchild admission with one paid grandparent admission. What a great deal and what a perfect day to visit the Zoo as an extended family!
So if you want to live on the “wild side” and spend time with our “wild” animal residents on Grandparents Day, make your way to the Zoo this Sunday. This is one day when we can show appreciation for our area’s cherished grandparents. We’re wild about grandparents at the Seneca Park Zoo!
